How can I access RASSTI from off-site?
Answer
RASSTI can be accessed remotely via Portal or VPN (Virtual Private Network) on a LANL device.
To submit/approve a document in RASSTI using Portal:
- Login to Portal at https://portal.lanl.gov/
- Enter rassti.lanl.gov in the provided search box (top right corner of page, below Home, Preferences, etc.)
- Login with your PIV or Cryptocard
Users are strongly encouraged to use a LANL device when uploading or reviewing documents. Avoid printing, emailing, reproducing, attempting edit of copy, etc. Security incidents will require SIT cleanup of machines to which the PDF was downloaded which may include clearing all browser cache.

User requirements for Remote Access:
- Current LANL employee
- Possess a PIV, zToken, or an active Cryptocard with administrative level access
- Web access via Firefox, Chrome, Edge or Safari
- Cookies and JavaScript enabled in your browser
- Pop-up blockers disabled
